In the land of Beer...

This week the fella and I are in North Carolina, the land of craft beer. We are both two very happy people. I didn't drink beer until I met Fella, I was a scotch drinker, nice and neat (pun intended). He told me, if you haven't found a beer you like, you haven't tried enough. So true.

Beer is one of the few things in life you can have exactly as you want it. Not to mention its cheaper than other drinking habits, if you want the good stuff. And I want the good stuff, that sets Fella back about $8-$15 usually. Not bad huh?

Today we are at the Flying Saucer Beer Emporium in Raleigh, NC. I had a great local beer, a Duck Rabbit Milk Stout. The Duck Rabbit micro-brewery is located in Farmville, North Carolina. I have no idea if its related to the time wasting phenomenon on Facebook.

Their website describes the beer as "a traditional full-bodied stout brewed with lactose (milk sugar). The subtle sweetness imparted by the lactose balances the sharpness of the highly roasted grains which give this delicious beer its black color."

I highly encourage you to go out and find your beer.
Cheers

  1. Oh my word- my husband said exactly the same thing as we were driving through Colorado last year. US craft beers have made a convert out of me.

  2. Oh, Denver is unbelievable for beer. The Fella and I went to the Great American Beer Festival there this year. I wasn't sure what I would miss most, the great restaurants or the craft beer from every corner of the United States.
